Message	I bought several of these filters last time they we were on sale and I always cut my filters apart to recycle the metal. As far as construction goes the Mobil filter is OK and very similar to the Wix filters. Metal end caps and lots of filter media but like Wix the filter media is kind of squished in the can. The OEM filters have always been perfect. I would use either filter but the OEM filters are the best I have ever seen.
